Dear Aunty Joan, what an amazing lady you were, living so independently into your 99th year, a true inspiration to us all living life to the full, still enjoying your garden and cooking. I’m hoping that I have inherited the longevity gene like you, Aunty Mim and Little Grandad did, and make a 100. I’ve certainly got the gardening gene that you and Grandad had, but that obviously missed, John your brother my Dad. You might be gone from our eyes, but you will always be in our hearts, and forever in our thoughts.
Rest in Peace Lovely Aunty Joan XX

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
